Haven't renewed my passport yet, and have been thinkin a lot about:

  • nationalism
  • heiarchies of passports
  • sudanese citizenship
  • the rise of racism within the uk (especially the raising of flags).
    • My first reaction was the create flag paintings, I did do a few mono-prints with reform-uk symbolism however I wanted something more positive.
    Mallieland came to be on the second day back at university.
    First meant to be a homo-utopia, I decided to make it as easy as possible for anyone to get a passport.

    material skills week-
    Thought about skills, ended up doing a few clay tiles. Had at least 20-ish kg of clay leftover from queer soc workshop.


    Thinking a lot about Louis Fratino's clay sculptures, and also the stoneware I use in my day to day life. (Denby Arabesque).

    Finally started my routine game, barely working at the moment. Still unsure if I want to use rpg-maker or pure js. Pure js would lead to more customisation I think.
    scaling up clay works- made one big one so far.
    I only have one large piece of wood so I don't do multiple at once - also may buy teracotta?
